You know that fresh, well-rested look you have right after a vacation? There’s nothing like a relaxing week at the beach to help relieve stress and allow plenty of time for sleep, which helps reduce the dark circles under our eyes and make us look bright-eyed and alert.
What if you could have that look every day? Or maybe you’re at a point where even a trip to the beach doesn’t work wonders on your eyes. As we age, or skin naturally loses elasticity. For our eyes, that means our lower lids become puffy and droopy, and our upper lids take on a hooded appearance.
Rather than trying to fight those issues with special creams and make up tricks, you might want to look into eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty. Here at PENTA Facial Plastic Surgery, blepharoplasty is one of our more popular procedures. It is minimally invasive surgery, and patients are usually fully recovered and back to normal activities within a week or two.
Eyelid surgery can be done on either the lower lid or the upper lid, or both. Performing surgery on the lower lid will eliminate some of the puffiness. We see patients as young as their mid-30s for this surgery. For upper lid surgery people are usually a little older, in their 40s or above. The procedure will open the eyes as little as three to four millimeters more than before, but it makes a world of difference in your appearance.
